As I mentioned here the other day, our Thanksgiving tradition is to spend the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving talking about (and writing about, now that the kids are old enough) what we’re thankful for each day. This year, we have little note cards and pencils right at the table to jot down appreciative thoughts, then we drop them in a kid-decorated big glass vase in the center of our table.We’ll read them on Thanksgiving Day.

My son’s latest Thanksgiving note of thanks brought a smile to my face… again. I love what kids think about!

He said, “I am thankful that mom buys us a lot of cucumbers.”

Who knew?!
