Happy Father’s Day!

I’ve been spending some time today thinking about the two dads in my life ~ MY dad and my children’s dad.

They’re so different, yet possess similar core qualities – like dedication to family – that make them such great men.

I’m just feeling exceptionally fortunate today to have such solid fathers in my life!

My dad has taught me some of the most important lessons, traits and skills in my life. What he has provided me is truly priceless. We’ve had our differences of opinion over the years (my mother just laughed herself right off of her throne in heaven!!), but I’m forever grateful for my dad’s constant love and support, integrity, strength, work ethic and commitment.

One of my favorite lessons he taught me that I’m determined to pass along to my children is: “Do what’s right… whether anyone notices or not… even if you could get away with less.”

My husband is making his own path as an extraordinary dad as well. I’m thoroughly impressed by the wisdom and life lessons he’s able to share with our kids, mixed in with some seriously wild fun! He’s such a fabulous combination of leader, teacher, coach, fan and a big, silly, overgrown kid!

My children and I are blessed to have these great men in our lives.

Happy Father’s Day to all the great dad’s out there, and to all of you who are remembering your dads today.
