C'mon mom, let's GO!
Yesterday was a running day. I was just getting ready to head out when my daughter asked, “Can I go with you?”
She threw in some puppy dog eyes and an angelic voice, just for effect!
So, I switched gears, figuratively and literally, and took her along for a different sort of run. I was going to head out for a longer run, but decided to cut it short, slow it down and then add some sprinting.
She jogged along with me for about 3/4 mile, then she explored the fields and wildflowers while I did about 20 minutes of interval sprinting/jogging. Then we jogged back home the 3/4 mile.
It wasn’t my most intense run ever, but it was one of the nicest!
